DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Cesar Zen Vasconcellos (UFRGS /ICRANet)\nEn esta con

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Juan Rafael Gomez Quispe (Universidad Nacional Mayor
de San Marcos)\nMagnetic nanoparticles are being widely investigated for
their great potential applications in drug transport\, magnetic resonance
imaging\, and the treatment of magnetic hyperthermia. Magnetic hyperthermi
a consists of the destruction of cancer cells by heat\, which is dissipate
d by nanoparticles. The assembly in the form of chains can increase the he
ating capacity of the nanoparticles\, due to the effect of the dipole inte
raction and magnetic anisotropy. In this work\, the Monte Carlo-Metropolis
method is used to calculate the hysteresis cycles of various systems of n
anochains at low temperature (T = 5 Kelvin)\, composed of spherical magnet
ite nanoparticles. The different concentrations and distribution of the an
isotropy axes are considered randomly and constrained in a solid of 20 deg
rees cone. The nanochains with random anisotropy show an increase in heati
ng\, for the entire range of applied magnetic field. Anisotropy restricted
nanochains show the maximum heating capacity\, but only for high magnetic
field values\, observing a blocking effect caused by the assembly of the
system in the form of nanochains. Finally\, these results show the potenti
al of magnetic nanochains to improve the treatment of magnetic hyperthermi

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Gustavo Cuba Supanta (Universidad Nacional Mayor de
San Marcos)\nIn this work\, the relevance of size and composition in the s
tructural and thermodynamic properties of Al-Fe nanoalloys are studied usi
ng molecular dynamics simulations. Our results indicate a linear character
of the melting temperature as a function of the inverse nanoalloy size fo
 r Al\, Fe\, and Al50Fe50 systems. Furthermore\, body-centered cubic\, hexa
gonal close-packed\, and local icosahedral structures are observed at room
temperature for cooled Al$_{50}$Fe$_{50}$ nanoalloy with sizes greater th
 an a thousand atoms. Moreover\, the cohesive energy\, nanoalloy radius\, a
nd surface effect of Al$_{50}$Fe$_{50}$ systems roughly reproduce the scal
ing law. In addition to composition\, these effects reveal that structural
identification and atomic mobility of Al and Fe atoms strongly depend on
the composition $x$ in Al$_{100−x}$Fe$_{x}$ nanoalloys. Also\, it is fou
nd that the melting temperature can be tuned with the size and composition
. Likewise\, the liquid-to-crystalline phase transition is extensively inf
luenced by the Fe composition in cooled Al$_{100−x}$Fe$_{x}$ nanoalloys.
Finally\, the cohesive energy and the nanoalloy radius show a quadratic d

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Marco A. Manya (Federal Fluminense University)\nIn t
his work\, we present the research results of the spin-orbit coupling effe
ct over Kondo Temperature and thermoelectric transport properties through
a quantum dot. The problem is modeled as a single impurity Anderson model
in the presence of the spin-orbit interaction which mixes the spins of the
  conduction electrons\, and consequently\, the SU(2) spin symmetry\, impor
tant to the Kondo state of the system is broken. The SU(2) symmetry is rec
overed doing a spin rotation along the axis $\\hat{r}$\, where the system
form Kondo many body singlet state. On this new quantization axis\, the hy
bridization function is diagonal\, the Haldane formula for the Kondo tempe
rature is renormalized by spin-orbit interaction\, The thermoelectric tran
sport properties\, it was observed that the electrical\, thermal conductan

xperimentalmente la mejora de la conductividad térmica.Hemos encontrado q

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Marco Antonio Zamalloa Jara (UNSAAC)\nThis work stud
ies the impact of overirradiance events on the irradiance’s spectral dis
tribution quantified by the average photon energy (APE). The experimental
data were measured on a tilted surface in Lima\, Peru\, from October 2019
to March 2020. Due mainly to Lima’s low latitude\, the spectrum is blue-
shifted concerning the AM1.5G spectrum. The clear‑sky‑tilted index was
defined and calculated using the experimental and simulated irradiance da
ta from the PVLIB database. Based on the clear-sky‑tilted index\, we dif
ferentiate between clear sky\, cloudy sky\, and overirradiance events. For
cloudy conditions\, the APE increases\, i.e. the spectrum is blue-shifted
relative to the clear sky. Whereas\, for overirradiance events\, the APE
decreases due to a red-shifted spectrum. This red-shift was observed for a
ll the overirradiance events studied during the experimental campaign. Fin
ally\, the cloud optical depth (COD) data from the satellite GOES-16 shows
that thick clouds are present when overirradiance events occur. Thus\, it
may give new insights into the cloud enhancement phenomena.\n\nhttps://in

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Celina Luízar Obregón (Universidad Nacional de San

documents using non-destructive elemental analysis. It is very important b
ecause there were no studies of this kind in Peru. This works had the obje
ctive of analysing six manuscripts related to Peruvian history\, looking f
or information about the inks manufacture development in Peru. We used a h
and-handled X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer Olympus Delta Premium in
soil mode\, in situ\, with two repetitions in each analysis point. The res
ults show S and Fe's presence related to iron gall ink.\nNevertheless\, we
  also found the minor elements Pb\, Cd\, Cr\, Ti\, As\, Zn\, Cu\, and Ag.
Lead\, Cadmium\, Zinc\, Copper and Silver proportions are not usual in Eur
opean inks of the same period\; for this reason\, we hypothesised that the
original writers used regional raw materials for making it. Moreover\, it
implies that people in century XVIII Peruvians could produce their own in

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Armando Bernui (Observatorio Nacional)\nMeasurements
of the Hubble constant in the Local Universe are difficult due to the pec
uliar velocities. The presence in the Local Universe of under-dense and ov
er-dense regions (e.g.\, hosting clusters of galaxies like Virgo\, Coma\,
Hercules\, etc.) determine the dynamical features of nearby galaxies openi
ng a competition between the gravitational field attraction against the co
smic Hubble expansion. In fact\, according to the Hubble-Lemaitre law\, th
e expansion rate of the universe is low at small distances from us and in
such a case peculiar velocities of nearby galaxies compete with the local
Hubble flow\, affecting our measurement of their radial recessional veloci
ties. To perform a measurement of the Hubble constant we use the ALFALFA s
urvey data\, which mapped extra-galactic HI sources in the Local Universe.
For our analyses we select a sub-sample of the ALFALFA catalog\, sources
with redshifts 0.01 - 0.02 because their distances and velocities were mea
sured independently of the Hubble-Lemaitre law.\n\nhttps://indico.uni.edu.

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Cesar Jimenez (UNMSM)\nIn this presentation\, the di
stribution of the tsunami source is obtained for the Huacho earthquake of
October 17 1966 at 21:41 UTC. It was a strong earthquake that shook the ce
ntral region of Peru\, causing 100 fatalities. The maximum intensity was r
eported in the cities of Supe (probably IX MM) and Huacho (VIII MM). A cos
eismic effect was a tsunami that inundated some coastal towns and resorts\
, such as Casma and Tortugas. The tsunami waveform recorded in the station
s of Chimbote\, Callao and Marcona were analyzed and processed to obtain t
he parameters of the tsunami source by an inversion process\, in which the
simulated tsunami waveform was compared with the observed waveform using
the method of non-negative least squares. The maximum slip was 6 m located
around the epicentre\, the zone of greatest energy release was located of
fshore the city of Barranca\, which is consistent with the maximum intensi
ty values reported. The tsunamigenic scalar moment obtained was 2.05$\\tim
es$10$^{21}$ Nm\, that is equivalent to a moment magnitude of Mw 8.1. We s
uggest that there is a high potential for the generation of a tsunamigenic

esign of new materials with tailored properties requires detailed structur
al information in real and reciprocal spaces. Our recently published THz s
ynchrotron experiments have provided evidence for the key role of bonding
symmetry on superconductivity of MgB2 compounds. Another group of recent e
xperiments has shown that external electric fields can control the superco
nducting transition temperature\, via piezoelectric related phenomena acco
rding to DFT predictions. Further analyses of these results indicate that
electric fields generated with small voltages induce structural and electr
on population effects\, which resemble and are equivalent to those of very
high pressures (in the tens of GPa’s). Given that the recently discover
ed families of room temperature superconductors require very high pressure
(in the hundreds of GPa’s)\, our results suggest that electric fields o
f appropriate magnitude and symmetry may induce the correct conditions for
higher temperature superconductivity\, with more easily achievable means.
